Morning Mayhem

Welllll, today started off in such a hectic way. We both assumed that the other had set the alarm, so as you can guess, we woke up late! We had plans to meet our friend Miriam at a gas station at 10:00 in the morning. We woke up at 10:00. It was an awful start. Being rushed to leave the house as quickly as humanly possible is not the best way to start your day. On top of that, Miriam had already been waiting for us at the gas station for 15 minutes! Oh wait, there's more...we couldn't find the gas station to save our lives. We stopped at three gas stations before we finally found the right one. Miriam was not upset but it still felt yucky to be late and have someone waiting for us.

After all of this morning chaos, we finally made it to Verbo Church. This is the church where all of the kids from Casa Bernabe attend. We got to see our friends and all of the other children when we got there. We think it's important that they see us at their church so that they know our faith is top priority to us. The service was lovely and lively. It ended up being a great morning despite the craziness.

When church was over, Miriam invited us to her house for lunch. She was so welcoming and helpful to us and we are so blessed to have her as a friend here. She gave us a delicious lunch and we got to know each other a little bit more. We drove home after this and are now ready to watch a scary movie (which is probably a bad idea when we are all alone in a big house that makes funny noises!). We had a great day and now we are hoping for a great week ahead of us!

I am today what yesterday has made me; tomorrow I shall be changed by today's experiences.
xoxo
