We spent the day with our sisters Freydel, Daroling, and Mileydi. We also got to spend some quality time with Jonathan, Maryuri, and Isamar as well as other friends at the orphanage. Delanie served again by cutting several of the girls hair. They enjoyed it very much and are ecstatic to have bangs and layers for the first time! We laughed, joked, and talked about serious things as well. Being with these children and building deep relationships with them is a way for us to serve because most of these kids don't have parents, friends, or siblings to look up to. We feel it is our calling to be mentors to them and we are grateful to have that command from our Lord. Some of the backgrounds of these kids are painful and rough. Some of them never had anyone to guide them or look after them. We are privilaged to be those mentors, those adults that they can lean on when times are rough and laugh with when they are feeling goofy. It was a great time and we always love to be with them.
During our day at Casa Bernabe we decided to eat lunch with the U.S. team that is currently staying there. We ended up connecting with them quickly and they were very welcoming with us. They told us that they are headed to La Chureca tomorrow morning to do some food distribution and we are tagging along. We are very excited to go!
We are now feeling that being on our own is going to be successful and amazing. This is where God wants us to be and we are trying our hardest to follow what He want us to do. Continue to pray for us and our mission. We appreciate all of your support.
I am today what yesterday has made me; tomorrow I shall be changed by today's experiences.
xoxo

P.S. We do not have pictures for your viewing pleasure today because we forgot our camera at home. Sorry! I know you are shedding a tear.
